Notwithstanding the unstable and sluggish situation of global economics,
the machine tool manufacturer Schaublin Machines SA has decided to trust in the future and to build a new factory. The new sober and functional building will be built in the East of Bévilard, by the Swiss canton road. In this way, the company will stick to its home village and its tradition.

It's obvious that the beginning of the construction work will depend on the weather conditions. If these are not too bad, however, the ground breaking ceremony should already take place at the beginning of January 2012. The construction work is assessed to last for 10 to 12 months. In the course of several invitations to tender, the building company Goldbeck Rhomberg SA from St. Gallen has won the contract. This company will hand over the turnkey factory directly to Schaublin Machines SA. As a matter of course, Goldbeck Rhomberg SA will draw on regional craftsmen and local labour force for the usual construction work.

The new factory will be built on a parcel of land of 10,000 sqm and have a floor space of approx. 9'000 sqm. It will have a length of 110 meters, a width of 76 meters and a height of 12.7 meters. The building will comprise one floor for production and assembly and three floors for the reception and the offices. Another parcel of land of 4,900 sqm is reserved for a parking (90 parking lots) and a local spare parts store.
